ASAHI INTECC USA, INC. is a wholly owned subsidiary of ASAHI INTECC. ASAHI INTECC was founded in 1976 as a manufacturer of wire ropes used in printers. In 1988, we developed a wire rope called Synchromesh Rope, which advanced the design of office equipment.
In 1992, we received a license to manufacture medical devices. In 2004 we opened our US office in Santa Ana, California. Today we have offices throughout the world providing ASAHI devices to physicians in over 80 countries.
Established Asahi Mini Rope Sales K.K. and began sales of ultra thin stainless ropes.
Developed a synchromesh rope and supplied to office equipment manufacturers.
Trade name change to ASAHI INTECC CO., LTD.
Established the Seto Medical Factory (government licensed medical device factory) in Seto, Aichi-ken, and began production. This became the headquarters for ASAHI INTECC CO., LTD.
Received a license from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare as a medical device manufacturer. Successfully developed a PTCA guidewire and a guiding catheter for the first time in Japan for the treatment of cardiac infarction.
ASAHI INTECC’s main headquarters moved to Moriya-ku, Nagoya.
Opened a dedicated medical device production facility and began operations at ASAHI INTECC THAILAND CO., LTD.
ASAHI INTECC USA, INC. became a wholly owned corporation of ASAHI INTECC, Japan and began operations in Santa Ana, California.
Shares listed on the second sector of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Nagoya Stock Exchange.
Established the second overseas factory, ASAHI INTECC HANOI CO., LTD. in Vietnam (wholly owned).
Established a research and development center in Izumi, Osaka to develop cutting-edge medical devices. Began operation in July, 2006.
Redesigned the logo in order and created the tagline “Your Dreams. Woven Together.” to establish the ASAHI brand.
Established a liaison office in Beijing
CompassMed Integration K.K. changed its name to ASAHI INTECC J-SALES, INC.
